The resistance already defeated Zombie Hitler once and sent him to Hell, but Zombie Army 4: Dead War picks up with the dead rising again, hungrier than before, across an alternate-history 1940s Europe. From the makers of Sniper Elite 4, the game applies that series' genre-defining ballistics and X-Ray kill cam to hordes of the undead instead of human targets, with new campaign missions taking the Survivor Brigade through corpse-riddled canals, an unsettling Zombie Zoo, and darker locations no one's supposed to come back from.
One to four players can tackle the campaign together, and progression covers new outfits, emotes, and taunts as you rank up, alongside deep weapon customization at workbenches: fire, lightning, and divine essence can all be worked into your arsenal, opening the door to things like a lightning-shooting assault rifle or a pistol with a flaming bayonet. Melee combat gets its own dedicated moves for when the horde closes in, letting you barge through crowds and stomp your way clear rather than relying purely on guns. Horde Mode extends the fight indefinitely, expanding the map the longer you survive.
Season Pass One is now included free with the base game, adding three extra levels, four character packs, nine weapon bundles, five weapon skin packs, and four character outfit bundles on top of the core campaign.
