Dark forces are drawn to the lands of Terrinoth, where a forgotten relic lies hidden with the power to turn the tide of an unending darkness threatening to consume the world. Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent brings the legendary Descent board game to PC for the first time, forming a company of ragtag adventurers to journey into perilous dungeons and confront the mysterious upheaval of an occult master across a fully original storyline set as a standalone prequel to Descent: Legends of the Dark.
Eight signature adventurers, each with their own background and combat style, form the roster to choose from, with leveling unlocking skills and perks while the Forge lets you upgrade equipment between expeditions. Twenty massive dungeons, each with unique environments and fully voiced storylines, populate the campaign, and characters react through dynamic dialogue that shifts depending on exactly who's in your party at the time.
Tactical combat avoids a steep learning curve or dense rulebook, instead leaning on positioning, elevation, line of sight, and timing to outmaneuver cunning foes and ruthless bosses. Multi-character combos and devastating Synergy attacks reward coordinated play, whether facing the darkness alone or teaming up online with friends, who can join mid-dungeon thanks to full controller support. The story unfolds across four themed Chapters split into self-contained Missions, each one completable in a single evening, making the whole campaign a solid fit for regular game nights.
