Sunderfolk sets out to rediscover game night as a tactical co-op RPG built specifically to bring people together, whether that means online multiplayer with friends scattered across the globe using mouse and keyboard, or couch co-op with phones standing in as controllers around a single shared screen. Adventuring across the Sunderlands works with up to four players, and the game adapts its control scheme entirely to whatever setup your group actually has available.
Playing with phone controls means only the host needs to own the game; friends join for free through the Sunderfolk Controller app, which doubles as their hand of cards, guidebook, and controller after a quick QR code scan on the shared screen. Players who'd rather stick to a traditional PC setup can team up through native online multiplayer instead, controlling heroes directly with full mouse and keyboard support and skill cards integrated right into the on-screen interface, though this mode requires each player to own their own copy of the game.
Missions lean on powerful skill cards, careful turn order decisions, and tactical planning to outsmart enemies and take down epic bosses as a coordinated team. Between battles, the charming village of Arden offers a place to unwind, upgrade shops, discover new gear, share meals, and build relationships with locals, some of whom might turn into something more than friendship over the course of a campaign. It's built around the specific feeling of gathering around a table with people you actually like, minus the setup and cleanup that usually comes with it.
