Eshe wanders a ruined world in Sundered, trapped within ever-changing caverns crawling with hordes of terrifying enemies drawn straight from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, forced to decide again and again whether to resist or embrace the corrupted power calling to her. Fighting through the game means confronting gigantic bosses using relics soaked in eldritch power, each one offering real strength at the direct cost of a little more of Eshe's own humanity.
The Eldritch Edition folds in every prior update alongside the Magnate of the Gong content, adding local co-op multiplayer for up to 4 players, brand-new areas connected by a dedicated quest chain, and a chaotic fight against the new Magnate of the Gong boss for anyone who's already cleared the base campaign. A mix of hand-crafted and procedurally generated levels keeps exploration unpredictable, layering classic Metroidvania backtracking and secret-hunting on top of hundreds of upgrades and multiple distinct character builds.
Death comes often by design here, respawning Eshe back at the Hub to level up and equip newly discovered Perks, stats, and special Abilities before diving back into the caverns. With multiple endings and more than 15 hours of hand-drawn chaos, the choice between resisting or embracing the eldritch power at Sundered's core stays with the player from the very first descent to the last.
