Star Wars Battlefront II covers a lot of ground, both in time and in setting. Multiplayer battles run across all three eras of the saga, prequel, original, and sequel trilogy, while a single-player campaign stretches across thirty years and follows a new hero instead of a familiar face.
You can build up heroes, starfighters, and troopers, each with their own abilities to lean on in a fight. Some matches put you on the ground riding a tauntaun or piloting a tank or speeder; others hand you a lightsaber and drop you against Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, or Han Solo. The pitch is straightforward: forty years of Star Wars films distilled into a game where you can be the trooper in the crowd one match and the icon everyone's shooting at the next.
