Starting from nothing, no cash, no product, and no connections, players in Schedule I roll into the grungy west-coast city of Hyland Point with one goal: build a drug empire from the ground up. Contending against intensifying law enforcement and deadly cartel competitors along the way, reaching the peak of the underworld demands both careful planning and a willingness to take real risks.
Producing a wide range of drugs means learning each one's unique production process, and digging into special recipes unlocks entirely new drug variants with their own distinct properties. Getting product into customers' hands happens on foot, by skateboard, or behind the wheel, and hiring dealers to handle distribution directly frees up time to focus on scaling the operation further.
Purchasing new properties and hiring employees expands both the scope and scale of the business, and working with suppliers eventually builds toward a fully automated production and distribution chain running with minimal hands-on effort. This is a dangerous line of work, though, and fighting back against rivals and law enforcement means relying on fists, melee weapons, or firearms when things inevitably turn violent.
A growing empire needs skilled management to actually hold together, and reaching new heights becomes considerably easier in co-op multiplayer, where friends can split responsibilities and build out Hyland Point's underworld together rather than going it entirely alone.
