Echoes of Mystralia$15.89The story of Resident Evil 0 takes players back to 1998, as reports mount of unusual murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City. The city's Special Forces division, S.T.A.R.S., dispatches its Bravo Team, including rookie officer Rebecca Chambers, to investigate, only for their helicopter to suffer engine trouble and crash land near an overturned prisoner transport vehicle.
Splitting up to search the area, Rebecca discovers the Ecliptic Express, a train stopped dead on the tracks, where she encounters death row convict and ex-Navy lieutenant Billy Coen. Throughout the game, players control both Rebecca and Billy, switching between them to progress, since learning each character's distinct advantages becomes essential to solving puzzles and surviving the nightmares waiting deeper inside the train and beyond.
This remastered version transforms the fear-inducing atmosphere of the original 2002 release with stunning new high-resolution textures created entirely from scratch, fully remastered 5.1 surround sound, and both the classic 4:3 aspect ratio and a newly added 16:9 widescreen mode. Players can stick with the original control scheme or opt into a new alternative where the character moves directly in the direction of the analog stick, whichever suits their playstyle better.
After completing the main story, Wesker Mode unlocks control of series antagonist Albert Wesker, letting players tear through missions using his superhuman abilities in a completely different way of experiencing the events leading up to the mansion incident that started the entire Resident Evil saga.
