Set in 1930s Lost Heaven, Mafia: Definitive Edition rebuilds the first game in the series from the ground up, following cab driver Tommy Angelo after an accidental run-in with the mob pulls him into organized crime. He's uneasy about falling in with the Salieri family at first, but the rewards of the criminal life turn out to be too big to walk away from.

The whole story plays out like a mob movie set in a faithfully recreated 1930s cityscape, packed with interwar architecture, period cars, and the culture of the era to see and interact with throughout. This remake expands the original's story and gameplay while keeping an original score that ties it back to the game people remember, and owning this edition unlocks Tommy's suit and cab as bonus content in both Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition.
