The base game includes officially licensed manufacturer Hypercars from the 2023 centenary season, letting players recreate on-track battles between Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, Cadillac, Peugeot, Glickenhaus, and Vanwall, alongside competitive LMP2 and thunderous GTE classes from brands like Aston Martin and Corvette.
Seventeen cars ship in the base game with more than 200 livery variations, and laser-scanned circuits recreate all seven destinations on the 2023 FIA WEC calendar, including Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Sebring, Bahrain, Portimão, Fuji, and the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe itself. The physics model draws on the pMotor 2.5 DNA refined from rFactor 2, supporting advanced simulation techniques like hybrid powertrains while staying accessible enough for newcomers, backed by a first-in-class tire model using an advanced "brush" simulation that accurately captures slip angles and effects like flat spots.
Real Road 2.0 track evolution means circuits start green and gripless at the beginning of a race weekend, rubbering in as cars pass over the racing line and pushing dust and marbles off-line, while dynamic weather adds realistic rainfall, puddle formation, and windscreen debris on top of full day-night cycles. Online multiplayer, powered by RaceControl, supports ranked Daily, Weekly, and Special Events that build Driver and Safety rankings, alongside player-hosted servers for leagues wanting full control over their own setup. Single-player racers get the full Race Weekend structure with customizable AI difficulty, adjustable time of day, session length, and weather, plus an innovative asynchronous co-op mode letting friends race the same event against AI at whatever time suits each player individually.
