Haste sets you running through a collapsing universe as Zoe, sprinting, soaring, and landing your way through procedurally generated worlds that are actively falling apart around you. Ten distinct Shards each hold a collection of these generated levels, and clearing every one without fail is the only way to unlock the next Shard and keep pushing toward whatever answers lie behind the destruction.
Speed matters here: hitting the ground running builds momentum, but fumbling a landing costs you dearly, forcing constant attention to an ever-shifting environment that punishes hesitation. More than 90 collectible items, purchased with Sparks gathered mid-run and spent in shop levels, let you customize each attempt around speed, damage, luck, health, and other variables, meaning no two runs through the same Shard ever feel quite identical.
Along the way, a cast of characters offers wisdom, encouragement, or useful items to help push further into the collapsing worlds, and between attempts a hub area gives Zoe room to gather strength and practice movement before heading back out. Online co-op lets other Zoes join the same run cooperatively, working together to progress while still tracking individual level times for some friendly competition between friends, distinguishable from one another through unlockable skins. Four spectacular biomes, four abilities to master, and four distinct bosses round out the journey, alongside an unlockable endless mode for anyone determined to see just how long they can actually outrun the end of everything.
