Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced follows a young street hustler, a retired bank robber, and a terrifying psychopath as they get pulled into the most frightening corners of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government, and the entertainment industry, forced into a string of dangerous heists just to survive in a city where trusting anyone, including each other, is a mistake. Current PC players can carry over both their GTAV Story Mode progress and their GTA Online characters and progression with a one-time migration from the legacy version.
Visually, the Enhanced version adds ray tracing across ambient occlusion, global illumination, shadows, and reflections, along with support for AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS, so image quality and performance can both scale depending on your hardware. Loading is faster too, with SSD and DirectStorage support cutting down the wait to get into Los Santos and Blaine County, and audio has been rebuilt around Dolby Atmos with sharper fidelity across speech, cinematics, and music, down to picking out a stolen supercar's engine or a helicopter passing overhead.
GTA Online carries over as its own dynamic, constantly updated universe for up to 30 players, where the path runs from small-time hustler to running a criminal empire. A new Career Builder cuts out the early busywork, letting you pick straight from one of four businesses, Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner, and choose properties, vehicles, and weapons to build around that choice from day one. A reworked menu puts everything GTA Online offers, including the newest updates, front and center instead of buried in submenus.
Everything released for GTA Online since launch comes bundled in, more than 40 major updates covering things like running covert operations in Agents of Sabotage, tracking down targets in Bottom Dollar Bounties, exposing corruption in The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, and pulling off vehicle heists in The Chop Shop. Hao's Special Works at the Los Santos Car Meet adds elite vehicle upgrades on top of all that, ready to take into HSW races and new time trials alongside the wider mix of races, modes, and social spaces like nightclubs, arcades, and car meetups.
