Forever Skies is a first-person survival game set on a post-apocalyptic, ecologically ruined Earth, where a colossal layer of toxic dust now covers the planet's surface after a global ecological disaster. Returning to Earth hundreds of years later, solo or with up to three friends, means building and customizing a high-tech airship that becomes your home, workshop, and laboratory all at once, flying above the dust toward the ruins of civilization and the mysterious anomalies scattered across it.
Managing the airship's hull integrity and gathering resources to improve it ties directly into how far you can actually push into hostile territory, and scientific research lets you build and operate different machines, analyze scanned items, and reverse engineer lost technology to boost your odds of survival. Scavenging the ruined skies means harvesting drifting debris caused by a strange anomaly into raw materials, while exploring the remains of human civilization slowly reveals what actually happened and why Earth ended up like this in the first place.
Eventually descending below the dust reveals a strange new world entirely: the planet's surface, changed dramatically in humanity's long absence, populated by evolved fauna and flora. Down there, hunting for viral pathogens to cure a mysterious illness threatening your own family becomes the driving goal, forcing direct confrontation with a surface world that's forgotten what it's like to have humans walking on it. The game comes from We're Far From Home, a Wroclaw-based team whose members previously worked on the Dying Light series, Divinity: Original Sin, The Medium, and Outriders.
