Top-down, real-time tactics with pause-at-will control let players think, rethink, and still feel every second of tension as operations unfold, with no turns, hexes, or action points getting in the way.
Deadly threats like suicide bombers, IEDs, and rocket-propelled grenades stand between operators and mission success, countered by tools like light machine guns for suppressive fire, night vision goggles for owning the darkness, and wall breaching charges to open entirely new entry points. Fully destructible environments mean any obstacle can simply be torn down, turning every non-linear level into a puzzle of approach rather than a fixed path. Choosing between the U.S. Army Rangers, CIA Special Activities Division, and Nowheraki SWAT changes far more than cosmetics too, since each unit brings distinct playing styles, abilities, and doctrines to every mission.
More than 90 handcrafted missions sit alongside handcrafted and procedurally generated campaigns, a random mission generator, and a full mission and level editor for building original content. Optional Iron Man Mode raises the stakes considerably, since troopers lost during a campaign mission stay lost for good, and online co-op for up to four players lets each squad leader bring their own unit into a shared mission where the whole team wins or loses together.
