HowLongToBeat reports about 3 hours for the main story.
All deep mining operations on Hoxxes have suddenly gone dark. An enormous transient disturbance has cut off all contact with the dig sites, and ever since the Grayout, nothing gets in or out. Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core sends in the Reclaimers, the Company's elite security force, to secure and reestablish operational control over the lost facilities when conventional measures fail to work.
As a roguelite spinoff of Deep Rock Galactic, each mission starts with only the most basic equipment, cooperatively building up powers, weapons, and abilities on the fly as the run progresses, requiring teams to think fast and put together the most powerful builds they can manage. The Grayout Barrier disables most standard technology on contact, meaning Reclaimers head in with little more than a pickaxe, forced to scrounge weapons and equipment within the mining facility itself and craft enhancements by harvesting the wunder-mineral Expenite.
Five playable Reclaimers cover distinct roles at early access launch: the Guardian excels at area denial and close protection with concussive blasts and armor restoration, the Falconer deploys an airborne assault drone and can revive teammates from afar, the Retcon can warp back to a previous point in spacetime to restore health and ammo, the Spotter marks and weakens targets with toxin darts while seeing through walls, and the Slicer wields an energy blade capable of dismembering all but the toughest opponents.
Deployed in teams of four, close cooperation proves essential against the horrific new Corespawn creatures inhabiting Hoxxes' inhospitable depths, more aggressive, resilient, and intelligent than anything encountered before in the wider Deep Rock Galactic universe. An average mission, or run, takes around 45 to 50 minutes to complete, and building, upgrading, and mastering a Reclaimer's craft across procedurally generated caves and mining facilities is the only real path to becoming a legend of the deep.
