Cloudpunk drops you into your first night on the job as Rania, a new driver for the semi-legal delivery company Cloudpunk, operating out of the sprawling, rain-drenched city of Nivalis. There are only two real rules: don't miss a delivery, and don't ask what's actually in the package, since no delivery job is considered too dangerous and no one moves faster through the city than a Cloudpunk driver.
Getting around Nivalis covers real vertical scale, from the Marrow far below the city to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above, scraping the edge of the troposphere itself, all explored by hover car and on foot. Over the course of one single night, you'll meet a diverse range of characters, androids, AI, and plenty of unscrupulous humans at every level of society, and everyone you deliver to carries their own story worth stopping to hear.
Beneath the routine deliveries sits a much larger mystery involving corporate conspiracy, hackers, and rogue AI, unraveling gradually through Rania's own eyes as the night goes on. The choices made along the way carry lasting consequences for the people of Nivalis, and going out of your way to explore hidden places and pick up unexpected items unlocks additional stories scattered throughout the city, rewarding curiosity over simply rushing from one drop-off to the next.
